ANZ EGate slaps Merchants again…
ANZ EGate Merchants will feel the pinch today after the MIGS Payment Server failed at 9.30 this morning. ANZ, who say the issue is a link with Mastercard, failed to adequately alert merchants to the problem and as result have has left many online store fronts to deal with failed credit card transactions and irrate customers.
Are ANZ dropping their game? This event follows on from a recent bungle with a ANZ MasterCard tape which as a result lead to a duplication of over 400,000 transactions Australia wide.

Unfortunately ANZ are only reselling a branded product of Mastercard. The MIGS Payment Server is the MasterCard Internet Payment Gateway Service and is used by many different banks across the world, and even locally here in Australia, such as the Bendigo Bank. Generally as far as the actualy Payment Gateway, I think it great in comparison to other implementations I have worked with, such as eSec, Westpac, Camtech, etc.
Bad luck for ANZ as they will cop it on this one.

Yeah look MIGS is a great little service, but ANZ need to provide more support and have some sort of backup service (?). There was a supposedly a generic mailout notifying users of the problem, but even as owners of 3 Merchant Accounts my company failed to receive one of these emails…

Users using OSCommerce and needing to make payments to ANZ eGate or Bendigo Bank using MIGS (Mastercard Internet Gateway Service) you should check out the MIGS contribution that I released.
